PROBLEM
DES was awarded a large-scale mandate by Deloitte to bring on a series of Partners. These spanned the Corporate Finance, Capital Advisory, Financial Crime, Value Creation Services and Mergers & Acquisitions firm's teams, across four provinces.
It was critical to identify high-potential candidates on platforms where they had either been overlooked or under-valued, while providing our client with a broad range of professionals who could hit the ground running (and grow as professionals). Commercial capabilities (ie: business development) were prioritized, given the performance expectations of Partners over time.
APPROACH
With a focus on competency, we targeted a range of candidates from different backgrounds, ranging from investment banking, syndication and lending to accounting, corporate development and principal investing. Our efforts resulted in four out of five mandates closed with female candidates (all Partners), including two Group Heads who are positioned for even more senior leadership roles in the future.
