President & Chief Executive Officer, The Addmore Group, backed by Nicola Wealth & Danilee Capital Partners – global mandate

PE-Backed Portfolio Companies

PROBLEM

The Addmore Group Inc. is a market-leading SAP-focused recruiting business with a 30+ year history. The Company has developed a highly client-centric model, with a multipronged service offering that includes specialized SAP contract and permanent staffing, as well as managed vendor services for nearly 50 organizations.

Danilee Capital and Nicola Wealth had invested in Addmore in December 2022. As the Company began a new chapter, DES was retained to attract a first-ever President to expand Addmore’s footprint and capture the exciting growth opportunity ahead, as a succession plan for the retiring CEO. Key goals for the new President were to set Addmore’s strategic vision, working closely with the CEO as he wound up his role, manage the financial performance of the organization, including full P&L and assess new service offerings and potential markets for expansion. As well, the President would eventually be called on to help position the Company for exit.

APPROACH

Our search targeted candidates at staffing firms, executive search firms, SAP providers / consultancies, software development corporations, professional services firms (with a focus on technology and/or software) and PE-backed portfolio companies.

The challenge was to find a candidate who would be drawn to a role that was both strategic and operational, with a mandate to oversee and lead a range of functions, thereby freeing up the current CEO to focus on strategy and client relationships (eventually, in planning for succession, the President & COO would take on a client-facing role).

We were drawn to seasoned and mature individuals, who could bring leadership and mentorship to the Addmore team, along with strong industry relationships.
