PROBLEM

Fulcrum Capital Partners, a leading mid-market private equity firm, asked DES to lead a President search for one of its portfolio companies in the logistics space, NLS. As the architect of the Company’s vision for the future, the new President’s mandate was to build a viable strategic plan and sales strategy that would enable the Company to continue its profitable growth and address new market opportunities.

Fulcrum was particularly keen on candidates with strong Sales backgrounds as the PE firm felt that NLS had a strong future ahead, with a need to develop new commercial relationships & accounts, while also entering new markets. This was a cross-border assignment, with candidates from the U.S. and Canada.
